6 Beautiful Flowering Houseplants For Your Bathroom

10 May 2025

Maybe my living room and bedroom are already decorated, but I feel my bathroom is the relaxing place where I get clean and immersed in cool water to enjoy comfortable moments after a hard working day. This is why I believe this place also deserves to be decorated beautifully.

Here are the 6 beautiful flowering houseplants for my bathroom that I think will bring this place more alive, fresh, and inviting. Also, I find these flowers are great ways to absorb the humidity to survive.

Not only do they produce stunning flowers, but I also discovered these plants bring positive effects on my health. I feel they can do double duty as decor pieces and natural dehumidifiers, helping remove harmful toxins, create fresh air, balance moisture, and provide more oxygen. I am checking them out and planning to grow some to make my bathrooms more attractive and pleasant.

#1 Bromeliads

I find there are so many different colors, types, and sizes of bromeliads that I can choose from. I love how the sword-shaped leaves and bright, unique blooms make such a great addition to my bathroom decor. In my experience, they love humidity and warmth with little to no soil, which makes them perfect for my space.

#2 Cyclamen

I find that cyclamen has so many varieties and most of them grow happily in my bathroom. I love how they display beautiful flowers that emit a sweet, pleasant scent. I give them a little morning sun to enjoy eye-catching blooms, and I always keep them safe from cold drafts and harsh afternoon sun.

#3 Begonia

I find begonias are such flowery tropical natives that grow well both indoors and outdoors. I think growing them in my bathroom will help absorb moisture and add fragrant clusters of blossoms. For me, this is one of the easiest ways to bring a touch of my garden indoors.

#4 Orchids

I find that almost all orchid varieties require bright lighting but need to be protected from direct scorching rays. I give them filtered sunlight for the best results. I also provide them with warm, humid conditions like my bathroom for happy growth, and I think they reward me with such exotic beauty.

#5 Azalea

I find that azalea favors growing in warm, humid environments in nature, so my bathroom is such a great alternative. I think a steamy bathroom with some morning sun is perfect for keeping the blossoms bright and healthy. For me, this is one of the most rewarding ideas for adding color to my indoor space.

#6 Peace Lily

I find peace lily to be such a perfect air-purifying plant that can remove trichloroethylene, formaldehyde, benzene, xylene, and ammonia from my living space. I also love its elegant look of beautiful white flowers and dark green, spear-shaped leaves, making it my favorite houseplant. Thanks to its low light tolerance, I think this is a good choice even for my darker bathroom.
